Summer stunner.

| The past week or so has seen some of the best summer action on the river this year. We experienced plenty of summer running fish last January but 2015 is turning out to be even better. A few weeks ago there were pods of smaller rainbows moving up ... fish in the two to three pound bracket but this week there have been some excellent rainbows and browns caught. I had an afternoon session with Glenn Goode and lost a couple of browns and good rainbows before we eventually slipped the net under Glenn's cracking six pound { weighed } hen above. Fly Fishing Aitutaki

| Aitutaki is one of the Cook Islands that's situated in the Central South Pacific to the north of Rarotonga. There are fifteen major islands split into two separate groups. The seven Northern Cook Islands are low lying and mostly unpopulated and its the more elevated and fertile Southern Cook Islands where most of the people live. The two thousand or so inhabitants of Aitutaki live on whats described as an "almost atoll" with an area of just under seven square miles. Christmas and New Year Report.

| HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS! 2015 dawned bright and breezy but heavy overnight showers put a bit of a damper on the fireworks. The river is up a few cumecs and was approaching the thirty four mark with some color when Blue and I went for a walk this morning. This should drop out as the day goes on and will encourage more fish to move which will set things up for the weekend. There are already some good browns in the river and with the present conditions there'll be reports of more nice fish hooked over the next few days.
